UK plan to regulate Crypto

The UK government has taken a step towards regulating the crypto industry by publishing a consultation paper on a new regulatory framework. The paper focuses on creating a comprehensive regime that covers various aspects of the crypto industry such as crypto service providers, consumer protection, and market abuse prevention. The Treasury hopes that the new rules will create clear and effective regulation for the industry. Economic Secretary to the Treasury Andrew Griffith aims to have "proactive engagement with the industry" in order to regulate crypto more effectively.
